Always keep the envelope dry and clean. This will prevent occurrence of moulds and hence protect from any kind of abrasion during transport or packing. If you go hot air ballooning and land on a muddy surrounding make sure that you hang your envelope dry after that. Check your burner and fuel systems at regular intervals and keep then clean. If the fuel hose is damaged get it replaced immediately. If there are any leaky valves replace them as soon as you can. Your wicker basket calls for occasional repairing and refinishing and the skid at the bottom should be replaced at regular intervals.

If there is a snag or a burn in the envelope then it requires patching. If the burn is too bad to be fixed it is better to replace the panel completely. For this you have to remove the stitching of the old panel and stitch in a new panel with appropriate technique and expertise.
